    The Goals

    1) To help bring awareness that younger women are getting breast cancer, and doctors are still telling them to wait until they are 40 years old to start getting screened for breast cancer. Be vocal about breast cancer, and change the system as it is now. Tell Miki's story in the hopes that that will motivate them to get a mammogram.

    2) To raise funds to aid groups with the same goals. We have set the mark to $500,000, this money will be donated directly to the organizations in the name of the America Japan Crossing Project (Please contact us for a list of American or Japanese groups that we will be supporting and the amount that you are sending).

    3) Talk to groups about breast cancer. Get a slip at boat shows to inform people about breast cancer and our project, invite organizations that we are helping to give out literature and collect donations directly. (We are please to announce that we will be at the Long Beach Boat show in Oct. 2003 if the boat is completed)

    4) Work with educational groups to promote learning though adventure. There are a few programs that have all the resources already in place. We are hopping to find groups in both America and Japan.

    5) Document both building the trimaran and sailing the North Pacific route. Filming of the documentry has already started.

    Research

We are collecting weather data in the Pacific. Here is the current wind/wave for the North Pacific (Updates every 12 hours). We are also collecting detailed data from Hawaii, Marshal Island, Palau and Japan.
